Vest, Willis M. (4th Sgt.): (21 in 1863); born in Franklin County; wife Mrs. M. J. Vest; shot in both shoulders injuring the lungs and captured; died at West's Buildings Hospital [Baltimore, MD] August 18, 1863.  (from Nothing but Glory by Harrison and Busey)

MARY ANN3 “POLLY” BURKE  (JOHN2, JOHN1) was born Abt. 1840 in Rappahannock Co., VA.  She married (1) UNNAMED. She married (2) HEZEKIAH WILLIAM VEIRS 18 December 1882 in Rappahannock Co., VA, son of WILLIAM VEIRS and ELIZABETH BEALMEAR.  He was born 2 March 1824 in Montgomery Co., Maryland, and died 16 August 1905 in Pikesville, Baltimore Co., Maryland.
