of the Colors for the Pledge of Allegience.

Year of Lee: The Maryland Division Color Guard leading the march to
VMI from General Stonewall Jackson's grave in Lexington, Virginia. The
march was easier with the great music of the Maryland Division Band.
This celebration took place in honor of the 200th birth of General
Robert E. Lee.

Gettysburg: The Maryland Division Color Guard at Remembrance Day in
Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. This annual parade is wonderful in the
historic town and band in tow march through the streets to announce the
arrival of the Confederates.

On
March 6, the Maryland Division Color Guard presented the colors at
the Confederate Navy Day ceremony at St. Anne's Cemetery in Annapolis.

The
Maryland Division Color Guard formed up in Richmond for the Annual
Confederate Heritage Parade on April 4, 2004.
|

| Historic
Monument Avenue was almost not wide enough to accomodate this fantastic
turn out of Maryland Compatriots. The drum & bagpipes kept a steady
pace. |

Members
of the Division Color Guard were honored to have their photo placed
on the cover of the Camp Chase Gazette. The casket contains the remains
of Seaman Joseph Ridgaway which was buried at Magnolia Cemetery in
Charleston, SC.

The
Maryland Division Color Guard presented the colors at the Silver
Spring Remembrance Day of the 140th Anniversary of Jubal Early's
attack on Fort Stevens. Five camps joined together to form the Color
Guard for this event.

On
May 22, the Maryland Division Color Guard presented the colors for
the dedication of the Maryland Scroll at the Graffiti House in Brandy
Station, Virginia.

Another
outstanding turnout by the Maryland Division Color Guard for the
Annapolis Memorial Day Parade on May 31. Our thanks to the ladies
for carrying the Maryland banner.

Maryland Division
Color Guard marches the historic Pickett, Pettigrew,Trimble charge
field in Gettysburg on the Battle of Gettysburg
Anniversary, July 3, 2004. Union descendants waited at the "Angle" and
a "hands across the wall" ceremony would take place.

Maryland Division Color Guard at the Serverna Park Fourth
of July parade held July 5, 2004. The Color Guard took home first prize
for the second year in a row.
