11:30 formation for a 12:00 Ceremony at the School lot on Center street. The Pipe Creek CWRT extended an invitation to us

as they will honor Lieutenant Murray killed in the skirmish from Stuartís Cavalry. He is buried in the church yard. Let us pay him his deserved remembrance and let him know his service is not forgotten. Take 140 to Center Street. Parking is on the street is in the lot by the school.

A Great Parade for the 4th of July! We meet at the American Legion Parking lot. Formation at 12:00. Please arrive early for parking. This is a well-attended parade. We will meet at the 195 Park and Ride at 10:30 A.M. Maximum turnout requested!!

Annual Potomac River Crossing
Cross the Potomac at Historic Whiteís Ford. We will step off at 12:00 P.M. in Dickerson Park for this Norris Camp Non-Period event! Bring swimming clothes and nylon flags! 2014 is the 150th Anniversary of the 1864 crossing! Come on and all!

Directions:
From Poolesville and points South; follow Whites Ferry Road, MD RT 107, west out of Poolesville, 3.4 miles to Martinsburg Road, Turn right, a church is at the intersection. Go 2 plus miles to sign on left to Dickerson Regional Park. Turn left to parking lot less than a mile down the road, just short of the Canal.

From Frederick and points North; take MD RT 85 to MD RT 28, go through Dickerson, bare right on to Martinsburg Road at flashing light by the power plant. Go about 1-1/2 miles turn right to parking lot less than a mile down the road, just short of the Canal.

Directions:
Take 95 to 495 to 270 North. Take Exit 11 (124 North) Formation is at 11:00. Pass 355 to a right at the 4th light on Mid County Highway. Make a right at the first light on Goshen Rd. Make a left ion Girard Ave. Follow Giraard to the end and make a left on Diamond Ave. Make your first left for our formation at number 63 yellow. Park at the bottom of the hill. See ya'll there!

Gettysburg Battlefield

We will meet at 9:30 A.M. on Bennerís Hill. Please wear work clothes and bring any rakes
brooms or other garden equipment you have with you. Letís all together take care of the Maryland Confederate monuments: First Maryland Artillery, Leeís Brigade, Breathedí s Battery, and Beckhamís Horse Artillery. Iíll see you all there!
Directions to Bennerís Hill:
Take 15 North to Steinwehr Ave. Take to split and make a left on Baltimore St. Go to Gettysburg Square and make a right
then a right on the Hanover Road (116 E). Bennerís Hill 1 mile on right.

Annual Ceremony sponsored by the Camalier Camp at Point Lookout the final resting place of thousands of Confederates. All were incarcerated by the Federal Government. Let's make this the first of many special Point Lookout Ceremonies in the new Confederate Memorial Park. Formation at 10:30 A.M. for the 11:00 A.M. Ceremony. Car pool from the 195 Park and Ride leaving at 7:30 A.M. Please let me know if you will car pool.

89th annual Fall Parade in Hagerstown

MD. 2012 the Maryland Division Color Guard received a Judgeís Award. Letís all be there this well attended parade.

Annual parade in Gettysburg sponsored by the Sons of Union Veterans. The Color Guard will meet at 12:00 for formation on Lefever Street (by the school off Baltimore Street). This is an historic Parade of Period Dressed participants and surely one not to miss.

Parade in Northeast Maryland. We will meet at 10:00 at the Post Office on Main Street just past the intersection of 272 and Rt. 40. It's easy: Take 95 North to the Northeast exit (Rt. 272) make right off the exit. The Post Office is on the left just past Rt 40. Color A great parade that is a nice ending to our 2011. Prepare for the weather. Get a poncho! Car pool from the 195 Park and Ride leaving at 8:00 A.M. Please let me know if you will car pool.

In partnership with the National Park Service. Coordinated by Color Sergeant Rooks, he's arranged to ensure that the monuments to Maryland's heroes are in impeccable shape with your Southern sweat and brawn! These monuments include the First Maryland Artillery, Lee's Brigade, Breathed's Battery, and Beckham's Horse Artillery.

The math is real: More Compatriots = Less Work = Maximum Payoff! Wear work clothes (this ain't time for the tux) and bring any rakes
brooms, and other garden equipment with which you enjoy being on the business end! It's sweating for The Cause!

Annual Dinner to honor Major General Isaac Ridgeway Trimble
The Dinner is a wonderful event held annually at historic Baldwin Station Restaurant in Sykesville. Bring a candle with you to light in memoriam for your ancestor. This year the dinner is on the actual date of General Trimbleís birth! You will then be served an excellent dinner and desert. The spirit of camaraderie flows here and all are encouraged to attend. Annual ceremony to honor Capt. Heinz Wirz, killed by the Yankees unjustly and honored in this ceremony for his courage. Formation is at 10:30 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Washington D.C. on Bladensburg Rd.

Sharpsburg Memorial Day Parade and ceremony
National Cemetery: A parade through historic Sharpsburg and into the National Cemetery for the Antietam Battlefield NPS Memorial Day Service. We have been requested to be the Color Guard and more details and this is a great opportunity to strengthen our relationship with the Antietam NPS. This is also an excellent opportunity to strengthen our relationship with the rangers at Antietam. Letís all meet at the Antietam Battlefield HQ at 12:00 P.M. Parade formation is at 1:00 for a 1:30 start. We can then car pool to the Sharpsburg Elementary School on Main Street. We will march through the historic town and into the National Cemetery, where we will be the official Color Guard. No caps or ammo allowed!

Alexandria Confederate Memorial Day
Friday evening there will be two events. We meet at 5:30 at Christ Church located at 111 N. William Street, Alexandria 22314 to honor the Confederate buried at Christ Church in spite of Political Correctness. Tragic! And let's show them the Colors! For the 2nd Ceremony we will meet at 6:15 P.M. the Color Guard will form at the church of St. Andrew and St. Margaret of Scotland is at the corner of Dewitt Avenue and Monroe Avenue in the Delray section of Alexandria just off of Route 1 near Potomac Yards at 402 East Monroe Avenue, Alexandria Virginia. Let us again cross the Potomac River to help our friends in the RE Lee Camp fight the battle of Political Correctness.

**National Memorial Day Parade (Washington D.C.)
As John Zebelean called it, "Jubal Early's dream." This is the most important parade added to our schedule in recent memory, so please be sure to add the date. I have checked parking and I think it best to park on 14th Street in the garage at 607 14th Street. It is just above Pennsylvania Ave. I suggest we carpool, just like last year. I suggest we form for car pool at 10:00 at the 195 Park and Ride (95 south to 195) For all event contacting my cell phone is 410-258-2223. You must let me know you will be there if you are not meeting the car pool so I can have a flag for you. Let show them all we remember the 150th as Battle Flags march down Constitution Ave. Come one and all to our march on Washington! No Fire Arms, caps, or ammo allowed!

Elmwood Cemetery 11:00am. Please arrive by 10:00am, as the ceremonies will be filmed by Destination America Television. This is a Maximum turnout event for a National TV Broadcast of the Maryland SCV honoring confederate soldiers. Come one and all and ladies too!

HERITAGE VIOLATION due to removal of Maryland Division Sons of Confederate Veterans Color Guard from the Severna Park, Maryland Independence Day Parade by the Severna Park Chamber of Commerce

Annual parade where we spread SCV good will to the public. Formation at 9:30 A.M. at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church on Benfield Rd. in Severna Park. We will meet in the parking lot to car pool at 8:00 A.M. on Ritchie Hwy (where Ledo's is located and the parade finish of the past. Come one come all to defend our numerous First Place showings in the "home field parade" this one has become to us!

Ceremony is at 5:00 P.M. in the park across the street from the Farnsworth House. Color Guard formation is at 4:00 on Lefever Street (where we meet on Remembrance Day. Let us show in force for this Gettysburg Monument Dedication.

Dedication of the Dr. Weaver Monument Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, VA
Arrival 9:00 A.M. for the 10:00 ceremony. Dr. Weaver removed Confederate Dead from the Gettysburg battlefield and return the soldiers remains to their home states. A marker was placed in Gettysburg last year on Remembrance Day and the Maryland SCV Color Guard was honored to be the official Color Guard. Letís form our second time to honor Dr. Weaver. 195 Car Pool at 195 Park and Ride at 6:30 A.M.

Take 95 South to exit 76 B. Left on Leigh Street
Right on Spring St.

8:30 A.M. registration. Hosted by the Camalier Camp, this year's state convention will be on April 16th. Commander Unkle and the compatriots of the Camalier Camp will provide additional information about the specific details of this year's annual convention. Once again, we will have the distinct honor to have SCV Commander-in-Chief Kelly Barrow and his daughter Georgianah as our guests for the day! Please plan to be there that day. It is an opportunity to enjoy the fellowship of other division compatriots; to celebrate our shared heritage; and to put some of the negativity of last year's insanity behind us - even though we are facing a new year of insanity!

Annual Ceremony to honor Howard Countyís Confederate soldiers and sponsored by the Major General Isaac Ridgeway Trimble Camp #1836. Formation is at 10:30 for the 11:00 ceremony. We need a firing party for this event!

Point Lookout Ceremony
Annual Ceremony sponsored by the Camalier Camp at Point Lookout the final resting place of thousands of Confederates. All were incarcerated by the Federal Government. Let's make this the first of many special Point Lookout Ceremonies in the new Confederate Memorial Park. Formation at 10:30 A.M. for the 11:00 A.M. Ceremony. Car pool from the 195 Park and Ride leaving at 7:30 A.M. Please let me know if you will car pool.

89th annual Fall Parade in Hagerstown

MD. 2012 the Maryland Division Color Guard received a Judgeís Award. Letís all be there this well attended parade.
Note we are meeting at the new location below so we donít have to walk so far at the end of the parade:

Annual Leonardtown Veterans Day Parade
Parade will form up at 9AM at Ryken High School on Fenwick St. In Leonardtown. Take Rt. 5 into Leonardtown. Make a right into Ryken High School on Fenwick Street. Step off is 10AM. Car pool will leave 195 at 7:30

Remembrance Day Parade
Annual parade in Gettysburg sponsored by the Sons of Union Veterans. The Color Guard will meet at 12:00 for formation on Lefever Street (by the school off Baltimore Street). This is an historic Parade of Period Dressed participants and surely one not to miss.

Christmas Parade
Parade in Northeast Maryland. We will meet at 10:00 at the Post Office on Main Street just past the intersection of 272 and Rt. 40. It's easy: Take 95 North to the Northeast exit (Rt. 272) make right off the exit. The Post Office is on the left just past Rt 40. Color A great parade that is a nice ending to our 2011. Prepare for the weather. Get a poncho! Car pool from the 195 Park and Ride leaving at 8:00 A.M. Please let me know if you will car pool.
